For SHERILYN, music has always been the heartbeat of her life. Surrounded by sound from an early age, she studied classical music, jazz, pop, rock, and musical theater. Over the years, she’s blended raw emotion, compelling storytelling, and dynamic artistry into every song, becoming an internationally recognized artist and Recording Academy Member.

Along the way, she picked up a variety of instruments—including saxophone, oboe, cello, bass, guitar, and piano—and even led her high school marching band as drum major. But it was always songwriting and performing that called her the loudest.

After signing with Vineyard Music/Varietal Records, she toured internationally and gained recognition on radio under the names Sheri Keller and Sheri Carr. Her artistry eventually expanded beyond the CCM world, leading her to rebrand as SHERILYN in 2011. Now based on California’s Central Coast, Sherilyn writes, records, and produces from her home studio—not only for herself but also for emerging artists looking to build sustainable careers. In 2022, she founded LIKE A PRO MUSIC COACHING, an international platform where she mentors independent artists on recording, releasing, and promoting their music. With nearly 200 artists coached worldwide, Sherilyn has helped musicians refine their craft, build their brands, and secure placements in TV, film, ads, and podcasts, along with features on Spotify Editorial playlists.

Sync licensing has become a facet of her career, and she’s passionate about helping independent artists break into this space. With her music represented by various sync agencies and publishers, Sherilyn places her own songs and teaches others how to navigate the industry, proving that independent artists can successfully access “major league” opportunities.
